Ayrıntı Yayınları Zaman Tüneli

Product description

The master pen of contemporary english literature, john fowles, this time with his prose, after the novels of the french lieutenant's woman, the creature, the collector and the mantissa, which are masterpieces. Time tunnel, where fowles collects his overlooked, highly personal writings, presents a personal look at the twentieth century by a writer who is curious about almost every topic and wants to infect his reader with this curiosity. Thus, we see that the writings that reveal the geography of the mind of this language and fiction master are not lagging behind in opening new horizons. In this work, which consists of essays, literary criticism, comments, memoirs, reflections and autobiographical notes, fowles opens to his readers the black box of his mind, addressing the issues that have haunted his life, made him think and entertained. The time tunnel consists of four parts: writing and identity, culture and society, literature and literary criticism, nature and the nature of nature. In his writings, which fowles compiled under these four main headings since he started writing in 1963, he reveals his thoughts on the art of fiction, the relationship between literature and life and immortality. It also creates a productive and thought-provoking enlightenment space for those who are heady about issues such as literature, art, identity, culture, aesthetics, society and nature. Meanwhile, the reader witnesses the “sinister” pleasures of the art of writing novels, which gives him a sense of guilt, such as the preparation done by one of the greatest writers of our age before starting to write his novels, the relationship he established with his characters, especially his love with female characters, which resembles a divinity game. Those who are bewitched by the novels of fowles, we are sure, will not miss the opportunity to slip through this window opened into his mind and follow the process of the creation of his novels. Anyone who knows the novels of the french lieutenant ' s woman and the magician knows that fowles is a strong and bright writer of intuition, but this compendium shows that the novelist is also a fascinating and entertaining essayist.
