Ayrıntı Yayınları The Sorcerer's Hat

Product description

Tove Jansson's books The Comet is Coming and The Sorcerer's Hat, which have been translated into over fifty languages so far, have finally been translated into Turkish.

In The Comet is Coming, Tove Jansson explores in a children's fantasy world the rumors of Halley's Comet (which Huseyin Rahmi Gurpinar wrote about in a playful way in A Marriage Under the Comet). Tove Jansson tells how this news shakes the Mumi valley, where all kinds of creatures live happily and joyfully, and how the comet dries up the seas and withers the sun. Tove Jansson warns us about how unbearable a polluted world where joy and friendship disappear will be, and points out that only the incalculable love that children have can save humanity from the disaster that awaits it. In The Sorcerer's Hat, as in the first book, Tove Jansson again takes us to the Mumi Valley.

She brings us together with the imaginary creatures of this valley where only friendship, love and joy prevail.

While reminding us of the beauties that have been banished from our lives in a sweet, non-didactic language, she recreates what has been forgotten and lost in the limitless imagination of children and emphasizes that hope will never be exhausted.

Tove Jansson, who has won numerous awards for her books, was born in Finland in 1914 to a Finnish Swedish artistic family.

Her books and the characters she created have been the subject of numerous films, theater and opera works.

She left this world in 2001
