Ayrıntı Yayınları The Archaeology of the Knower

Product description

Michel foucault, who was born in poitiers, france in 1926, is a philosopher and an action-oriented person who devoted himself to freedom with both his thoughts and his life.

perhaps the best way to understand him is in his own words, which he used in interviews: “the main purpose of life and work is to be the person you were not originally” and “each of my books is my life story”.

Foucault would be extremely uncomfortable with being categorized or judged by any categorical framework, either of himself or others, but when we start to describe him, the most appropriate adjective we can find would still be the historian of thinking systems he used.
