Ayrıntı Yayınları Mantissa

Product description

He describes that ancient relationship between the writer and the muse, at once hilarious and tender, in fowles on mantissa. While the fairy's relationship with the artist is loaded with intense tenseness, the life that exists becomes a much more complex emotional tide. In this novel, which can be considered among the masterpieces such as french lieutenant's woman, creature and magician, fowles shines a flashlight-like mocking and cruel look into the reader's eyes, asking and compelling questions. What is the price actually paid to the fairy when the author takes his inspiration and turns it into a literary form? In the “thin but strong mesh” that he weaves in mantissa, john fowles does not cease to entertain while bringing literature, love and erotismo face to face in different planes, making the reader think. The writer miles green, lying in a hospital room, has lost his memory. In the semi-obliterated world of green, esin's muse erato is a doctor who is fond of order

a punk who criticizes her as anti-feminist, bourgeois elitist, and counts her literary crimes

and steps onto the stage as an authoritative forest fairy. In this fantastic fiction, in which the striking dialogues of flesh and word dominate, we trace the nature of reality and creativity, the alienation of art, the transition of literature to a more and more self-referential style today, the relations between women and men and the changing balance in the composite vessels of the life-art axis, with fowles' witty observations. Miles green finally asks himself this question: if you fight with women, in the abyss of reality, in other words, in a race of words, you always lose. I wonder if women invented literature just to seek revenge, to confuse men who are better than themselves, to distract them, to waste their vital intellectual desire and essence for mantises? What do you think?
