Ayrıntı Yayınları Homo Ludens

Product description

The game is known to be fictional and takes place outside of everyday life, however, it is a voluntary, free action that completely immerses the player in it. This action, which takes place within a specifically designated time and place, free from all kinds of material gains and benefits, is carried out according to given rules, in a certain order. The player and sometimes the audience become ecstatic and excited.

the game thus defined has survived throughout history as a staple of culture in all walks of life.

Huizinga shows that the game played an extremely effective role in the emergence of all major forms of collective life - worship, poetry, music, dance, wisdom, science, law, struggle and war - based on rich historical knowledge and documents related to the eastern and western world.

However, as games have ceased to be an enriching element in life with the modern ages and have narrowed down to the narrow meaning of today, we learn from huizinga that we begin to experience lives that are harder to endure, colorless and uniform. we firmly believe that economic power and interests will determine the course of the world. We work and produce as if we were worshiping

The ideal of bland and dry sense of benefit, bourgeois comfort affects our mentality. There is no longer room for the game in our communities

it has been excluded from the integrity of life and thrown into a corner to be used as material for industry. Product name: homo ludens product code: 9789755390994 publication year: 202003 cover type: cardboard cover paper type: 2. Author: johan huizinga
