Ayrıntı Yayınları Flaubert’in Papağanı

Product description

The flaubert's parrot, which has earned a privileged reputation for julian barnes among the leading writers of english literature, is undoubtedly one of the most original and striking works written on the dialectic of life-art until today. The originality of the novel, first of all, lies in the fact that it was able to reveal a deep human understanding in a highly innovative aesthetic fiction.

In his work, which can also be described as a trial novel, julian barnes speaks to us about all kinds of details of the mysterious thing we call life, the irresistible attraction and boundaries of art, the hidden faces of the truth, and much more, all with his unique ironic style.

the main story of the novel

the world view, the arts, the loves, the journeys and the interesting life of xix, which has a rich variety. The events surrounding the famous french novelist gustave flaubert of the century are being formed. In addition to this, there is another story in the novel, which is told as a footnote to this story and whose secret is only revealed between the lines: the story of the roman hero geoffrey braithwaite's secret life with his late wife ellen.

These two stories, set in different centuries, are constantly interlocking throughout the narrative and establish a meaningful bridge across centuries between the personal life of the novel hero, braithwaite, and the life of gustave flaubert, who is known as the father of reality in literary history.

flaubert expert, retired doctor geoffrey braithwaite, the two parrots that are both attributed to the author? What about the result? The result is, perhaps, that there is no such thing as a murderer, revealed in the foyas of real in detective novels. Or, that everyone can only find this hidden answer through their own readings.
