The lived experiences recounted in can kartoğlu's stories, set in the vibrant '60s and '70s of ereğli, offer a rare glimpse into the world of workers and trade unions in turkey. In the book, we encounter many familiar faces who have been navigating the paths of ereğli throughout all these years.

during these years, the popular ecevit kâh is the minister of labor kâh is the prime minister, who declared american morrison as a “mu¨stesna” company. Su¨leyman demirel, who took his place in the political arena by wearing the title "morrison su¨leyman" from ereğli, stands in front of the workers and unions as the representative of turkey for morrison before becoming the prime minister. Ereğli labor stories portray the nation's landscape through the portraits of ereğli workers.
