Berendt Translator: neşe ozan "joachim e. is on his way because of the ""sewage culture"" that has now come out of the ditch and it is necessary to establish a new relationship with ""hearing""."

Berendt puts the book's goal as “covering all jazz from its beginnings to the present.”

Unlike most music critics, it does not focus on a single style

He examines all the genres and styles, from ragtime to postmodern jazz, chronologically, one by one, solos, bands and instruments, believing that it is necessary to constantly test, question and renew the feeling and knowledge, rather than improving it by establishing a sentimental relationship with only one kind of music.

It pays homage to today's electronic music as well as the harmonica jazz of previous eras

Electronic timbres influence all musical styles, from jazz to rhythm-blues, from rock to pop, as an indication that the modern human's sense of need is also being electronicized

And the evidence of his opinion “that this is a development that cuts all layers of society, all classes

From the outskirts to the ghettos, to the music festivals of the intellectual world, it finds its spread. Additionally, this review is conducted with the social realities of both the periods examined and the blacks, who are the creators of jazz, in mind.
