Product Q&As
You said it wouldn't darken, but in a comment it was said that it did darken, can you explain?
Answer from Atelier LEO
Hello, our products are produced by our company using bronze (contains 95% copper) alloy. There is no coating process on it. The condition described as tarnishing is observed in coated products. It is not possible to prevent oxidation, which is the natural reaction of every metal (the layer that forms on the metal surface as it comes into contact with oxygen). Bronze has low oxidation. Oxidation can be faster if it comes into contact with water and is left damp. Since the phrase "it made it darken" mentioned in the comments is not a visual comment, it is not possible for us to make a definitive statement about this situation, and we guess that there is no other situation than the issues we mentioned above. Therefore, our products do not tarnish and can be used for a long time if protected from moisture. We wish you pleasant shopping.
