Arkadya Yayınları ATEŞBÖCEĞİNİN ŞARKISI

Product description

It was our story, just a song we knew.

a firefly's song. In japan in 1957, a marriage was planned for naoko nakamura, who was eleven years old, to strengthen her family's business relations. Everything is ready for the ceremony, except for one thing, naoko's heart. Unfortunately, he didn't become the man his family expected him to be, one who would make them proud, but rather a lost american soldier, a stranger, even an enemy. Furthermore, despite everything, she is ready to pursue love with the great secret she has kept, ignoring the traditions and the future prepared for her, and to listen to the song her heart whispers to her. On the other hand, he is completely unaware that the echoes of that song will be heard even across the ocean years later. In today's america, tori kovac, a journalist waiting by her dying father's bedside, discovers a letter that will turn everything she thought she knew about her beloved father, herself, and her family upside down. The journey to uncover the truth behind the letter will take him all the way to a remote coastal town in japan. The poignant story of two strong women, one forced to choose between her heart and her family, and the other wondering where her true home lies, defying years and distances. The firefly's song is a masterpiece that reveals what we can do for our loved ones and will not easily be forgotten.
