In this book, comprised of eleven stories, krikor zohrab, a prominent figure in the literary, legal, and political spheres of the armenian diaspora, offers a unique perspective on ottoman society from various viewpoints. The author, who has mastered the art of portraying life as it is, subjects the intractable nature of gender relations, the animosity between city and rural life, and the evolving social landscape of the armenian community in the ottoman empire to a sharp analysis. Zohrab, while shedding light on problems that belong to all mankind while transcending the limits of congregation, enriches his literature with his multi-layered experiences as a lawyer, mebus and storyteller, revealing his understanding of literature, realizm, high perception and reasoning power. This translation of zohrab's storybook titled gyankı inçbes vor e (1911) from its original armenian text into modern turkish is published for the first time. The ottoman translation of the work, with the translation of kudret emiroğlu, was published by ayraç publishing in 2000.
