Raskolnikov, a university student who cannot continue his education due to poverty, kills a petty woman, considered a parasite in society, with the thought that rules and laws can be ignored for the benefit of society.

He tries to convince himself that he dared to commit such an event in order to save society from a parasite, but he cannot get rid of the disturbing voice of his conscience.

"in this novel, where the concepts of ""crime"" and ""punishment"" are deeply discussed around the murder and the guilt of the hero, the social, moral and religious values of mankind are also questioned, starting from raskolnikov's dilemmas and internal conflicts."
