Alternatif Yayıncılık An Illustrated Memorial Notebook of an Owl

Product description

This book is not just a life story

it is a special narrative that carries the traces of a long journey shaped by art. Introducing the reader to the production, experiences, and memories of an artist who graduated from the istanbul state academy of fine arts, spanning approximately fifty years. Unlike typical biography books, this work conveys the flow of life through straightforward prose, while italicized and bold sections open the doors to the artist's journey. Thus, life stories and artistic production intertwine, complementing each other. The author, who started his academic life in 1972 and has trained countless students, shares the traces of learning while teaching in a sincere language. The ironic perspective added by the identity of a cartoonist and comics artist is felt between the lines. This book, presenting the analysis and synthesis of a life on each page, invites its reader on a different journey as a fluid documentary narrative where art, education, and life intertwine. Not just a biography... a portrait of a life written with lines, memories, and art.
