Product description

"my current suicide experience is only explained in this way.

i know that i am condemned forever to think about the repulsion at every buhran or every pain. My principle is a refusal that never yields to the whole and never will, but it's a sensitivity that makes my back stiff

this is what scares me. "life's struggle" is the most fundamental source to reach pavese, who committed suicide shortly after winning italy's most prestigious literary award in 1950. With the sensitivity of a poet, the torment experienced by a man seeking a hard-to-attain emotional maturity is read in his diary.

hidden throughout his life under the sad mantle of the idea of suicide, pavese, despite his extraordinary intelligence, his disappointments, is looking for "perfect love". Cesare pavese's life struggle begins on october 6, 1935, during his exile, and continues until nine days before his death, on august 18, 1950. It becomes a tired day filled with confessions of all the dramas that break down his existence. This daily pavese, where despair, pain, and irony are spoken, becomes a place where the author entrusts his thoughts about the world of writing. Pavese offers a meditation on the intellectual and moral rigor of life, the changing lives, dreams, memories, love, and art.

"for pavese, literature is a struggle, poetry is a struggle, living is a struggle. Domenico starnone show more all products you select from our store are shipped to you complete and exactly as described in the images and product details.
