Publishing house alfa yayınları author david herbert lawrence barcode 9786051718873 number of editions 1 Edition printing year march 2019 number of pages 536 volume status paperback only six months after it was published in 1915, rainbow, a lawrence classic that was banned on the grounds that it threatened public morality, is a work that is far beyond its time and has liberated itself

Lawrence describes both the transformation of a society and the complexity of the individual alone, through the women and men of three generations of the brangwen family living in a rural part of england. Those women who endure great pains to know themselves, reject the traditional role of being a woman, seek the infinite on the one hand and long for other places, while wanting to be rinsed on the other

Even though men try to hide their impotence in front of women with infinite indifference, the demeaned emotions cause deep anger in them. The colors of the rainbow entering the house fall on the themes of lovelessness, passion, willpower, selfishness, and loyalty. The battle they fought to overcome each other's will, the peace they found with the hand of love also tires them, they hear a conflict that will last forever in them
