Alfa Yayınları Meditations: Metafizik Üzerine Düşünceler + Colorful Highlighter Pens

Product description

Descartes attempts to prove the existence of god and the separation of the human mind and body in his work, *meditations on first principles*. It tells the story of a thinker who, concerned with establishing a solid foundation for the sciences of his time, retreats into solitude and isolates himself from society, embarking on an inner journey. From beginning to end, descartes operates with a systematic method of doubt. In other words, he throws aside everything he knows to be true and sets out, free from all his prejudices and unfounded beliefs. On one hand, it tries to establish that one can doubt everything, but one cannot doubt their own existence. Even though he ultimately concludes that everything perceived as obvious and selective is true, he realizes that the deep-seated doubts about the reliability of the mind still trouble him.

from these, he understands that he can only be saved by contemplating the idea of god, which he believes can come from god himself, who exists within himself.

thoughts on metaphysics, for the first time translated from latin into turkish, delves into the fundamental concepts of philosophy such as god, soul, reason, mind, and being, and draws the reader into a philosophical inquiry.
