how long does it take to green the steppe?

is it one season? How long will youth, education, enlightenment, freedom last.

ten years? How long does the regret last.

quarter century? How long does the love last.

a lifetime? I wish. Our mistakes, our sacrifices, our losses, weighed down by the gravity of our love, encircle the past, the present, and the future. &quot

I wish &quot

How long does it last? With sema soykan's instructive pen and fluent style, keşke - a village institute novel, unravels the curtains of six lives tossed between secrets and longings, defeats and victories, the impossible and the possible.

"written with meticulous research, inspired by real events, ""wish,"" tells the life stories of sabia (nedret) and fikret, two teachers who emerged during turkey's enlightenment process. it narrates their patriotism, immortal love, and sacrifices, while shedding light on the unique education and functioning of the village institutes from their inception to their closure, and the political processes turkey experienced between 1940-1980, as well as the effects of imperialism on our education and society." With the hope of remembering that not only individuals, but also societies, the more wishes they have, the deeper and more consuming their mistakes, unhappiness, and regrets become.
