Product description

During his lifetime, max scheler was considered one of the most influential thinkers in europe. He not only earned the respect of husserl and heidegger, but also philosophers like martin buber, ortega y gasset, hartmann, ernst cassirer, gadamer, and alexander koyre. According to heidegger, there was no contemporary philosopher who owed him to any degree

ortega y gasset would also write that with scheler's untimely death, "europe lost one of the greatest minds it had ever seen." However, after the 1960s, scheler's thought would re-enter the philosophical and humanistic debate, thanks to authors like alfred schutz, manfred s. frings, and especially rene girard. Ressentiment can be read as a rejection of nietzsche's polemic against christianity, or it can be understood as a broader phenomenon of religion. But to the extent that the subject under review is located at one of the most important intersections of many disciplines (philosophical anthropology, psychology, sociology), it also forms a completely independent object of research from this polemic.

scheler is tampering with what everyone knows very well and avoids facing and thinking about it. All the products you choose from our store are shipped to you exactly as specified in the image and product details, without any omissions.
