Product description

Only six months after its publication in 1915, a lawrence classic, banned on the grounds that it threatened public morality, rainbow is a work far ahead of its age and self-liberating. Living in a rural part of england, brangwen tells both the transformation of a society and the complexity of the individual through the women and men of three generations of her family.

those women who suffer great pains to know themselves, reject the traditional role of being a woman, search for infinity on the one hand and long for other places, while they want to be rinsed on the other. Even though those men try to hide their powerlessness against women with infinite indifference, the feelings they are belittled cause a deep anger in them. The colors of the rainbow entering the house reflect on lovelessness, passion, willpower, selfishness, and loyalty. The battle they fought to overcome each other's wills, the peace they found with the hand of love, also tires them out, they hear a conflict that will last forever within them.
