Alfa Yayınları Childhood and History: an Essay on the Annihilation of Experience + Color Highlighter

Product description

How and why did experience and knowledge diverge? Is it possible to mention the childhood of experience? According to walter benjamin, "the poverty of experience" was caused by modernity as a consequence of the destruction caused by the first world war. According to italian editor giorgio agamben, who has studied the works of benjamin extensively, a disaster is no longer necessary for the experience to be destroyed

everyday life in any modern city is sufficient for that purpose.

In childhood and history, an in-depth and grounded study of language, childhood, and everyday life, agamben traces the experiences of kant, hegel, husserl, and benveniste, developing a childhood theory that brings a fresh perspective to a series of key themes in contemporary thought.

Anthropological contrast between nature and culture

Grammatical opposition between speech and language

Topics such as the birth of the self and the emergence of the subconscious become the main themes of this theory, while agamben also explores time and history, marxist infrastructure and superstructure, and the differences between rituals and games. Giorgio agamben is arguably the most meticulous and insightful thinker since walter benjamin. - avital ronell show more all products you select from our store are shipped to you complete and exactly as described in the images and product details.
