Product description

The last, perhaps the most touching stop of sadık hidayet's storytelling, which always tells about losses in literature, the helplessness of the individual, dead ends: the moonlit dog. Farewell to mercy in our time

the steps that chew and pass by remaining pure and clean

the cold, brutal, merciless hands that roam in human hearts, children's heads, and the innocence of animals.

In the midst of one of the greatest disasters in history, this book, published in the darkness of world war ii, is a collection of shocking stories that describe the people of hidayet who were pushed to the outskirts of society, those who writhed in the grip of meaninglessness, and those who were lost in the streets. In these years when iran is also plunged into political and social unrest, the stories written about the unchanging fragility and helplessness of the human spirit are images from a mirror of a mind shaped by war, poverty, and hopelessness. The moon dog, which is the last link of sadık hidayet's melancholic ink pen and literary heritage, presents a universal human condition while being filled with local and cultural references.
