tierra y libertad! / "earth and liberty!" This shout is the shout of the mexican indigenes. This cry is the cry of those who have thrived friendship and camaraderie in conditions of unthinkable conditions in the mahogany camps of the state of chiapas, where slavery lasts physical torture, degradations, day and night. In the novel, which takes place in the last days of the rule of the dictator porfirio diaz in 1910, how the oppression experienced by native american workers increased step by step. In parallel with this, we witness how the long-awaited rebellion breaks out, with the grafting of the fears from the bosses, don felix, don severo, don acacio. With the masterly narration of the author, who does not want to highlight his identity in his works and uses the pseudonym b. traven, the characters develop step by step, the events give birth to each other, and the rebellion grows like a avalanche. The rebellion of the hanged is the fifth book of the series of six-episodic river novels 'forest novels' about the mexican revolution and the indian workers. B. traven, shown as one of the most skillful storytellers of the twentieth century, deals with a different character or event in each of these novels. B. traven, whose own life was as mysterious as his novels, his true identity is still not fully known today.
