""this work will not serve to belittle alafranga, but on the contrary, to save it from misunderstanding."

more precisely, this novel is written not to serve any purpose but to make the public laugh.

(...) is the meftun a lunatic obsessed with frenk admiration sickness? Nope.

we'll see, it's not either.

Judging by the moments of intelligence seen in some limited times, it is very possible that he is a team member who comes and goes like a rare-occurring malaria. "while the unfinished novel was censored under the name ""alafranga"" in 1901, it was reborn in 1909 under the name ""şipsevdi""." Hüseyin rahmi, one of the most famous types of western meticulousness, created meftun, and he knew how to make today's reader appreciate his high humor and philosophy in his style. Şıpsevdi is a timeless work. Hüseyin rahmi gürpınar (1864-1944) is a figure who has been loved and read by wide masses from a young age, bringing his era and surroundings to life in his novels. hüseyin rahmi is one of the few similar individuals in our literature. In his books, topics such as the special beliefs of istanbul life, social and economic inequalities, and gender relations are often portrayed in a ridiculous, sometimes sad way, while preserving the original forms of public speech. For the first time, the “local color” enters our novel with it. His writing career begins in 1883 at the translator-i truth newspaper. In 1896, he became famous while his novels and stories were being serialized in the ikdam newspaper. He becomes the most read author of his time. All income comes from writing. In this way, he takes the pavilion in heybeliada, which is now a museum. After the 1908 constitution, ahmet rasim publishes a humor newspaper called boğazboğaz. Thus, it passes the first investigation.

its newspaper closes.

second time am i crazy? With his novel, he'll be a courtship and he'll be pardoned again.

he has over sixty books in the genre of fiction, as well as in the genre of stories, theater, essays and criticism, most of the novels. We will continue to include the author's selected works in our turkish literature classics series.
