Türkiye İş Bankası Kültür Yayınları Gurur Ve Önyargı : Hasan Ali Yücel Klasikleri / Jane Austen

Product description

From the back coverjane austen (1775-1817): a 19th-century novelist who was only forty-two years old, despite her obscurity and simple life, managed to become the “first great (and de facto) cult of the history of the novel” with what she wrote. In addition to numerous tv and cinema adaptations, as all "sales/reading" polls indicate, the author's second novel, pride and prejudice, published in 1813, ranks among the most beloved novels of all time. This, we believe, is due to austen's reflection of the tension between women's right to choose their love and the "best future" role set by traditions in many parts of the world, with "humor, wit, and tenderness." Hamdi koç (1963): graduated from the department of english language and literature, istanbul university. Found on the editorial board of the hokka magazine. Since then, five novels of hamdi koç, who attracted attention with almost every work, starting with children's death songs in 1992, have been published. The writers whose works she has translated include shakespeare, faulkner, beckett and joyce. Product information publisher ? : ? İş bankası culture publications
