Türkiye İş Bankası Kültür Yayınları Secret garden

Product description

The misselthweite manor, located in one of the vast lands of england, hosts a story with the theme of change, liberation, and purification, with its locked room, the sound of unrequited cries heard at night, and its gardens surrounded by walls. Frances hodgson burnett's the secret garden takes the traditional image of an orphan child depicted in the victorian era to another point. Mary lennox, who is not a munificent, shy and sullen character like oliver twist, jane eyre or heidi, is spoiled, selfish and sometimes violent

His journey to know himself and to distance himself from the effects of growing up in a colonial culture begins with the opening of a garden gate whose key is buried in the earth

The secret of colin's cousin, who had a childhood as loveless as mary herself, to get rid of the toblerone that surrounds him, is hidden behind the same door. The secret garden, which has hosted countless children and adults since 1911, was first featured in a publication with adults as its target audience, even though it is now included in the canon of children's literature. In addition to the author's criticism of britain's colonial policy, the methods of raising children of the era and the prescribed gender roles, the pro-holistic medicine approach is still relevant today.
