Product description

My universities is the final book of gorky's trilogy, which is considered one of the most beautiful autobiographies written in russian, starting with my childhood and continuing with how i earned my bread. gorky's universities are real people who taught him the harsh reality of their own lives. they are outcasts, vagrants and misfits pushed out of society... they are revolutionaries questioning hunger, oppression and their relationship with the state and the church... they are mujiks, who work constantly like shovel prisoners, and are hostile to those who want to live their lives guided by reason. during a period when the ideas leading to the revolution began to sprout, the author's social environment was made up of people from this segment. gorky, who has been destined from childhood to transform the miserable and sordid reality into a more beautiful, more humane life, is almost the embodiment of the hopes of russian society before the revolution.
