Product description

Euripides (484-406 bc): among the three major tragedians of athens, he has a special place as the artist whose works have reached our time the most.

this feature, although it has not won the first prize as much as aiskhylos and sophokles in the festivities, is attributed to the fact that it is a more popular poet among the people. The heroes of euripides' plays carry human frailties and flaws, and the tragedies they experience arise from their passions that they cannot give up despite these flaws.

the classic bard or the modern bard who can be considered the first to give the closest works to the euripides contemporary theatre. The tragedy of andromache, most likely written at the beginning of the peloponnesian war, in the years 427-425 bc, is inspired by two different legends, the myth of neoptolemus, the son of achilles, and hermione, and the myth of andromache.

Euripides combined the two myths freely, adding some new details, glorifying the moral understanding of athens while depicting the ruthlessness of sparta, and once again displayed the opposition to war he expressed in many of his works in this work. 6product name: andromakhe - hasan ali yücel classicsproduct code: 9786052957875 Author: euripidesyear of publication: 2021cover type: paperbacknumber of pages: 88paper type: 2.
