Product description

Language studies, with several centuries of grammar studies, which have deeply affected the world of linguistics, and the structuralism and derivatives of grammar, which have largely entered the mainstream in the past century

Is rapidly advancing into relatively new and narrowing fields such as pragmatics, discourse analysis, computational linguistics and neurolinguistics connected psycholinguistics. In fact, judging by the pace of progress of science, it is likely that many new areas of linguistics will appear soon, whose names are not even known today, for example, nanolinguistic and genolinguistic. Social linguistics, which is already present, seems to be one of the few areas where language studies are likely to be centered, just like the areas we are counting. However, despite its increasing importance, the number of books in turkey that only cover sociolinguistics is not more than the fingers of one hand. Therefore, we aimed to increase the number of turkish sources by supplementing the pre-written books with a new work. Another of our purposes was to define and term many new concepts that we felt were lacking in the sociolinguistic literature. We have included a significant amount of concepts from this in the literature, because concepts and terms are key elements in better understanding of topics. We aimed to facilitate our readers who want to research on the internet by writing the english equivalents of both the pre-existing terms and the terms we recommend.
