Product description

Ahmet mithat efendi, the largest journalist of the rotary, was born in 1844 in istanbul.

he made great efforts in the opening of the tercüman-ı truth newspaper. In addition to stories, novels, travel, commemorative and theater genres, there are many writings and works in various types of literature that do not stay within a certain area of writing. Ahmet mithat, a public figure, left behind many works for his people when he passed away at the age of 68.

in the comfort of simplifying all his efforts for the development of his ignorant and backward people, he left this world. In the book of felatün bey and rakım efendi, ahmet mithat describes the discussions that took place between rakım efendi, who understood westernization correctly, and felatün bey, who misunderstood it. Sir felatün emerges as a smart, cultured, dignified person. Instead of the knowledge of the west, it has taken comfortable living. In contrast, rakım efendi's personality is one who understands and interprets the west correctly, can renew himself, in other words, can work and earn money.

the basic difference in the conversations between the two has been attempted to be stated with frugality with waste. "the novel is easily readable and as you read it, it becomes clear which personality you are more inclined to, ""what do you understand about the west?" It leaves you facing your questions.
