Product description

Dostoevsky's "stepanichkovo village and its inhabitants," written during his siberian exile, is a tense and witty rural tale that showcases the author's hidden comedic talent. University student sergey aleksandrovich visits his wealthy uncle, lieutenant colonel rostanev, at his country estate. Here, he realizes that he has settled in the corner of the house, trying to hurt himself by trying to hurt the grandmother of a self-indulgent charlatan named foma fomish, who climbed to the top of the uncle rostanev's house. With sergey's arrival, who eagerly watches what foma fomiç does, there will be significant changes in the house's layout. The village of stepanshikovo and its inhabitants, designed as a play by dostoevsky, is a tribute to the young writer's mentor, gogol. Foma fomich of the stepanchikovo village is an irresistible, first-class, and hilarious work that rivals molière and shakespeare.

”thomas mann ”stepanachikovo village is a critical review of the past of the dostoyevsky himself.
