İletişim Yayınları Wanderings in the World of Words

Product description

“i really enjoyed wandering in the world of words. I thought that the pleasure i heard while writing could also be heard by those who read it. Starting from today, tracing the history of words back to their earliest sources is like going deep into the layers of human consciousness, watching the evolution of the meaning of the word.

"bülent aksoy, in ""journeys in the world of words"", from the influence of turkish on arabic, persian and western languages, to the current perceptions of the words that have settled in our language as a result of this influence." Meaning over time? Brightness? Ine ug? "it reflects on the language in a wide area extending from the words that turn into ""galat-ı mes¸hur"" when used in the wrong place to the words that turn into ""galat-ı mes¸hur""." While doing this, it not only does not see language as a means of communication, but also neglects to show the transformative and nourishing relationship between words, humans, and society. Not only for those interested in etymology and linguistics, but also for readers who want to get to know more closely the words we use frequently every day but don't know the deep historical journeys they have taken to the present. this is an introductory book.
