IKEA SANDLÖPARE Soft toy, giraffe calf/brown, 45 cm

Product description

Look at this curious face and the beautiful dotted fur – a cuddly giraffe longing for a new best friend! Always ready for play, mischief and adventures on the savannah.

Did you know that giraffes show affection by pressing their necks against each other? With this small giraffe, your child will always have a soft and huggable neck close at hand.

Made of recycled polyester that is soft and gentle on sensitive skin.

All soft toys are good at hugging, comforting and listening and are fond of play and mischief.

In addition, they are reliable and tested for safety.

We know our soft toys should handle many years of love.

That’s why we’ve chosen comfy materials, embroidered eyes, performed rigorous washing tests – and ensured that they’re free from harmful chemicals.

A perfect gift for children who are fascinated by the fantastic wildlife of the savannah.

Embark on a savannah adventure! With all the toys, textiles and accessories in our SANDLÖPARE collection, we invite you to a colourful world full of discovery and learning.

Great to combine with other items in the SANDLÖPARE collection.

IKEA collaborates with Nordens Ark, a non-profit foundation that focuses on nature conservation, conservation breeding and release, research and education.

The collaboration has given us a deeper understanding of the efforts required to protect wild animals.

We support the foundation by spreading knowledge about endangered species to children and adults.

Together with Nordens Ark, we continue to develop products that evoke curiosity about our planet and its amazing nature and wildlife.

With the illustrations for SANDLÖPARE, I wanted children to discover the animals gradually.

Wild animals are really good at hiding and if you want to play with them, first you have to find them,“ says Anna Lagerström, illustrator.

Play and learn with the animals of the wild.

In the SANDLÖPARE collection, stools become zebras, the bathrobe transform us into cheetahs and the rugs are snakes.

Here we encounter fascinating animals such as cheetahs, giraffes, meerkats and chimpanzees as both soft toys and in illustrations.

Now we can safely explore the savannah and learn about all the animals that live here without disturbing their fragile habitat.

It’s hard to make educational materials without texts.

But I really think we managed to do it with the SANDLÖPARE activity book.

Here, you can learn the wingspan of the birds and what paw print goes with what animal,” says Jorge Omar Santoyo Henaine, product developer.

Make the room come alive With small efforts the savannah can come alive in the home.

By switching the bed linen, adding a stool cover or attaching decoration stickers to walls and bedposts the children’s room can transform into an animal kingdom.

Sure, they’re cute but are they safe? Absolutely! You can rest assured knowing that all our children’s products live up to the highest health and safety standards.

We put our toys to the test – up against the toughest in the world (much tougher than any two-year-old).

All so you can worry less and they can play more.
