Generic 2C21 TCS230 TCS3200D Color Recognition Sensor features
Other Features
Programmable color light-to-frequency converter, Integrated LEDs for illumination in darkness, TTL logic-level outputs, Configurable photodiode array, Selectable color filters, Scalable output frequency, Arduino compatible, Provides raw color data and RGB values
Instructions for Use/Warnings
Connect VCC to 2.7V-5.5V and GND to ground. If OE is not enabled, pull it LOW. Use S0 and S1 pins to set output frequency scaling (e.g., S0=HIGH, S1=LOW for 20% scaling). Use S2 and S3 pins to select the color filter (S2=LOW, S3=LOW for Red; S2=LOW, S3=HIGH for Blue; S2=HIGH, S3=LOW for Clear; S2=HIGH, S3=HIGH for Green). The OUT pin provides a TTL square wave output. For Arduino integration, connect all relevant pins (GND, VCC, S0, S1, S2, S3, OUT). Calibrate the sensor by running a calibration sketch, defining pins, setting frequency scaling, and reading pulse widths for Red, Green, and Blue, with a 200ms delay between readings for stabilization. Use white and black reference objects for calibration.
