Highlighted features:
Generic 2B30 Capacitive Soil Moisture Sensor Not Easy To Corrode Wide Voltage Module features
Other Features
Capacitive sensing, Corrosion-resistant material, Long service life, Onboard voltage regulator, Wide operating voltage (3.3-5.5V), Compatible with low-voltage MCUs, 3-pin JST PH2.0 connector, Includes connection cable, Color-coded cable, Analog voltage output
Instructions for Use/Warnings
The sensor operates between 3.3V and 5.5V. An ADC converter is required for Raspberry Pi compatibility. Wiring: Connect the red wire (VCC) to 3.3V-5V power supply (matching microcontroller logic, e.g., 5V for most Arduinos, 3.3V for 3.3V logic devices). Connect the black wire (GND) to ground. Connect the yellow wire (AOUT) to an analog input pin on your microcontroller (e.g., A0 on Arduino). Note: The analog output will vary depending on the voltage supplied to the sensor. As soil moisture increases, the analog output voltage decreases. To find threshold values: Record sensor output when soil is dry (needs watering), at ideal moisture, and when heavily watered (too wet). Example readings: ~590 in open air, ~380 for dry soil, 277-380 for ideal, ~277 for just watered, ~273 in a cup of water.
