“hometown stories are the most authentic stories of anatolia in turkish literature.
in anadolu homeland stories, it is presented with all its real existence and inner world. "nihad sami banarlı," like the humorous writings of refik halid that earned him widespread fame through his humor and political writings, has also become a milestone in our literature in this field. Until then, directing the turkish story, which could not leave the borders of istanbul, to anatolia, opened a new horizon for our storytelling and brought a new breath. Cevdet kudret, in "stories and novels in turkish literature," refers to events that refik halid experienced firsthand during his lifetime. The people brought to life in the stories of hometown and exile are almost alive.
