Product description

Nahid sırrı örik's novel, the road to the past, which was serialized in the tasvir-i efkâr newspaper in 1948 and was not published in book form while the author was alive, is centered around two main characters: cezmi, the pasha boy who is passing through a breaking point, and the city of ankara. After his early youth lived in poverty, he was disowned by his father, the pasha, and with the support of his uncle, he went to ankara. "the journey that begins with a train departing from istanbul, takes him back to where he always started, to the zero point, amidst the dynamics of ""real life"" and unsuccessful relationships he encounters while trying to survive in a new and unfamiliar city he is not used to." Cezmi's journey is also intertwined with the story of ankara, which underwent a great transformation along with the republic. "nahid sırı's novel ""the road to the past"", in which he establishes intertextual connections with his essays and stories written about ankara, is among the works most strongly represented in our literature of this city." In this edition, which bahriye çeri prepared by comparing and annotating the author's notes and the books published after his death, examples of the author's handwritten notes on the book are also included.
