– but anotherNews from şile's local newspaper: officer güneş t. has gone missing. Then, the earthquake that occurred in that small city, a hundred kilometers away from istanbul. And the narrator, who calls from berlin, the refuge of those who cannot belong to anywhere in the world...In his fourth novel, barbaros altuğ sheds light on the hopes lost in geographies governed by negligence and oversight, unheeded measures and unpunished murderers, violence, and homophobia, drawing inspiration from newspaper clippings. As the history of a city is rewritten, it doesn't allow the forgetting of the suns and their darkest nights, to whom it promised to write its story.

He buried the palaces placed on the sea side, the real owners of the exiled khans, the illegal skyscrapers built with the fortune of those khans, the mosques where no one went, the churches where there was no one to go, the expensive houses that were supposed to be the nests of birds, foxes and erguvas, and the gray apartment blocks that stretched around the city to its land and sea. Instead of the soil that crumbles, there were tombstones gushing out names written in different alphabets, names that once called this city my home. Even though istanbul has been buried under the ground for centuries, it remembered that it was a large and unhappy cemetery.
