Epimag Effervescent Powder Sachet is an effervescent magnesium citrate preparation used to support digestive relief and urinary health under medical supervision.
It is made for people who need relief from occasional or support in preventing the recurrence of calcium oxalate kidney stones when prescribed or recommended by a healthcare professional.
The active ingredient, magnesium citrate, works as an osmotic laxative by drawing water into the intestines, helping soften stools and support easier bowel movement.
It may also be used as a urinary alkaliniser, helping make urine less acidic and supporting the prevention of calcium oxalate crystal formation.
Each sachet contains magnesium citrate, commonly listed as 2.125 g per 5 g sachet, in a convenient powder format that dissolves in water before use.
Possible side effects may include gastrointestinal irritation, abdominal cramps, nausea, , fluid or electrolyte imbalance, and laxative dependence with long term or excessive use.
These are not all the possible side effects of magnesium citrate.
