Product description

Diovan 80 mg Tablets contain valsartan, a potent ARB that selectively blocks angiotensin II receptors, leading to blood vessel relaxation and sustained blood pressure reduction.

It is indicated for essential hypertension, heart failure (NYHA class II–IV) when ACE inhibitors are not tolerated, and post-myocardial infarction with left ventricular dysfunction.

Diovan provides 24-hour blood pressure control, reduces cardiovascular events, and has a favorable tolerability profile with low incidence of compared to ACE inhibitors.

How to use: Adults (hypertension): usual dose 80–320 mg once daily

starting dose often 80 mg once daily

may be increased after 4 weeks.

Heart failure: start 40 mg twice daily, titrate up to 160 mg twice daily.

Post-MI: start as early as 12 hours after event with 20 mg twice daily, titrate to 160 mg twice daily.

Swallow whole with water

can be taken with or without food.

Take at the same time each day (morning or evening).

Do not stop suddenly without medical advice.

Regular blood pressure and kidney function monitoring required.
