Destek Yayınları Exiles of the Earth

Product description

The war, with its painful losses, will of course end one day, but it leaves behind a deep hatred as an inheritance, which is difficult to erase from the memory of both peoples. Because the real enemy is not the one who comes with a weapon, but the painful memories that are forced into our minds.

earthbound exiles is a realistic, but also tragic novel about the development of two peoples, once living peacefully side by side, into the playthings of imperialist ambitions. On one hand, the fairy tales of the past, mythological whispers, orpheus's unfinished song... on the other hand, the ruthless reality of history. In the aegean geography, which was torn apart by the greek occupation after the first world war, greeks and turks are forcibly antagonized. These two peoples have shared the same wind, the same sea, and the same hopes for centuries, but the greek occupation shattered this ancient friendship. Enemies turned neighbors, people uprooted from their homes, their land, their memories... occupation, oppression, displacement, and fear

these weave an invisible wall between lives that should be intertwined.

some go, some stay. Those who leave are strangers in their destinations, while those who stay feel a little more diminished each morning.

because sometimes a person can neither return to the place where he was born, nor does he exist where he chose to stay. Love, amidst all this destruction, sprouts as a hope, a new beginning.
