ahmet hamdi tanpınar 3 book set ?tanpınar sees our culture as the manifestation of an inner realm civilization

this civilization was created by people who carry a certain morality, ""believed in their spiritual duties, passed through a certain spirit order, and disciplined their pleasures""

mümtaz, one of the heroes of huzur, is looking for an ""inner order"" throughout the novel that will bring him to ""peace""

in the work, disease, death, nature, cosmic elements, civilization, social issues, various moods and aesthetic ideas are intertwined

however, above all these, the romances of mümtaz and nuran dominate the novel

istanbul, which was the environment in which this love took place, is treated as if it were a novel hero

for huzur, it can be said that it expresses the ""restlessness"" of the republic intellectuals who could not achieve a certain world view and a life order
