Caterpillar Women's Boots & Booties Genuine Leather Coloradotranslucent015G101120 - 015G101120

Hello, Caterpillar Colorado Translucent Sole Difference and Slip Information The main difference of the sole of this model (Colorado Translucent) from other classic CAT soles is that its rubber structure is slightly more transparent (translucent) and it is a little softer than the thick, hard rubber of traditional CAT boots. About Slip Resistance: Classic CAT Soles: The soles of traditional yellow CAT boots (often identified by codes like T3 or T7) are a heavy and rigid rubber with very aggressive treads. These soles offer excellent traction, especially on muddy, soft, and uneven terrain. Translucent Soles: These soles are more focused on everyday use and urban surfaces. Because the rubber component is more flexible, the risk of slipping on smooth surfaces, such as polished concrete or marble, can be slightly higher compared to outdoor boots with harder treads. Result: If you are going to use the boots in heavy snow, ice and difficult natural conditions, yes, classic CAT soles will perform better. However, this sole easily provides the grip that standard winter boots provide in urban conditions. "The ""slip"" comment is probably from someone using on a very rough or icy surface."

Although Caterpillar boots generally have non-slip soles, factors such as ground conditions and usage style can affect the risk of slipping.
