Product description

The word “mythos” in ancient greek has many meanings. “word”, “say”, “tell”, “rumor” etc. Only a few of them... in addition to these, it also includes the meanings of “fable”, “story”, “invention”, the word “mythos”... again in ancient greek, “mythologia” or in the form it has settled in our language, “mythology”, “story science”. Each nation has its own more or less elaborated folklore. But when we say “mythology”, the first thing that comes to mind is the greek myths. Inextricably linked to the religious beliefs of the greeks, these fables have been endlessly enriched by the works of bards, historians, theater writers, sculptors and painters over hundreds of years, and as a result have become universal. In particular, western culture has always benefited from this rich resource with its art, literature, and philosophy, and still benefits from it... mythology offers us a very broad field of study. Books full of volumes have been written on this subject and are being written. We have prepared this small book for young people and curious people of all ages who want to take their first steps into this unlimited field of width, containing the basic concepts of mythology. We hope that this work can also be heartening for further steps.
