there were various social living styles in the ottoman state due to the influence of religion and cultural elements. These are

the diversity of women's and men's clothing, the social, political and professional status differences of men as a result of religion, the multiplicity of sects and the differences in the religious lives of people affiliated with this sect.

these elements held an important place in the life of the people. People would dress according to their location, use symbols of the sect they belonged to, and carry the tools of their profession. The book you have in your hands aims to show how the diversity of this social life in the ottoman state is reflected on tombstones and how these thoughtful ideas on tombstones emerged with an artistic style.

the most important feature of this book is the presentation of photographs of tombstones in comparison with miniatures. This miniature comparison allows for a better understanding of the subject and also reveals its difference from previous studies.
