Product description
Franz taeschner is one of the few western-based singers who has served turkish culture at the highest level. Ahîlik and his mentality world is the field of expertise of taeshner, the futuuvvet. According to ottoman sources, the anatolian road network is related to the geography and range system, which forms another area of expertise of taeschner. Despite being devoted to the ottoman empire, the author sought to grasp the greek antiquity, rome, byzantium, partially arab and turkish anatolia in an uninterrupted quality, and he maintained the same understanding throughout the entire work. Taeschner's understanding of anatolia within its historical integrity also makes him feel that he sees the anatolian road network as a central element of the world's road networks. From this perspective, creating a comprehensive map of the anatolian road network will also significantly contribute to illuminating the medieval road system. The most important feature that demonstrates the immortality of the work, is the extraordinary effort and meticulousness the author shows in distinguishing between military roads and caravan roads. Taeschner's current research provides the anatolian road network with its cultural context, interviews with living witnesses who cannot be found in any official range book, and while benefiting from these witnesses, it also clarifies the routes followed by these pilgrims who form the main sources. The author's narrative style not only makes it possible to reconstruct and revive this network of roads in the mental plane, but also ensures that these roads are perceived as human, living, organic entities. Finally, we can say that this research is the first attempt to address the road network as a whole during the earliest ottoman periods of anatolia, that is, the time before the fundamental change in the ancient road system due to the introduction of new means of transportation.
