Removing Old Seals: First, completely remove the old, deformed brush seals from your glass balcony by pulling them out of the aluminum channel. Surface Cleaning: Clean the inside of the aluminum channels where the seals will be inserted of dust, dirt, and debris using a brush, vacuum cleaner, or damp cloth. Make sure the surface is completely dry. Measuring and Cutting: Measure the height of the glass panel where you will be installing the seal. Cut the polyurethane seal neatly to this measurement using a utility knife or sharp scissors. Inserting the Seal: Align the cut seal with the channel at the top or bottom end of the glass panel’s aluminum profile. Gently slide the cord downward or press lightly on it to seat it fully into the channel.
