Ayrıntı Yayınları The Land of the Future Zweig In Brezilya Izlenimleri

Product description

As soon as i stepped on rio, i realized that nothing in my life had affected me so strongly until that moment.

i was also blown away by the fan. Because what was waiting for me here was not only a unique landscape consisting of sea, mountains, city, and tropical nature, but also a very different type of civilization that i didn't know until that day was attracting attention.

Zweig stefan zweig came to give lectures in 1936 and stayed for weeks in brazil, where he made long journeys. during these journeys, he got to know the unspoiled forests of the world's fifth largest country, the areas where no human foot had stepped, the amazon region, its unique nature, its big cities, and the tolerant, warm people he met everywhere he went. all of his impressions were collected in one of his last books, considered to be brazil - the country of the future. We see zweig's genuine love for this south american country, its nature and its people in his narrative. Even though millions of people of different origins live in endless lands, the joy of life, inner peace, and the quick and trouble-free relationship of the brazilian with every stranger was zweig's immediate fascination. The most exciting country among the numerous countries that the humanist and cosmopolitan writer visited was brazil.

it is impossible not to see his enthusiasm in this creation. At the threshold of world war ii, in the years when the nazis were gaining strength and europe was beginning to collapse on itself, brazil, a country extraordinary in everything, seemed like a paradise to him.
