Product description

0в this collection included two early works of dostoevsky - “poor people” and “doublenik”, which marked the birth of the future great romancer.

“poor people” – the debut novel of the writer.

after its reading, v.

g.

belinsky wrote that dostoevsky was a completely unknown and new name, but it seemed that his name was destined to play an important role in our literature.

the touching love story of petty official makara devsina and varlki dobroselova reveals the eternal theme of the “little man”. Despite the inner beauty and nobility of their souls, they are unable to change the circumstances and are doomed to suffer in this harsh world. In the novel “doublenik”, a deep psychological analysis of the split consciousness is given, and the theme of duality - the human “i” and its shadow - is brilliantly developed.

the drama of mr. golyadkin, unfolding against the backdrop of the lively streets of st. petersburg of the nineteenth century, is in many ways related to the artistic world and poetry of gogol's petersburg stories.
