summary: The queens in the monarchical administration of ancient egypt played very active roles and their areas of activity affected royal life and also played a significant role in shaping political life. This situation started from the first dynasty period in ancient egypt and continued until the time of the last dynasty, the ptolemaic dynasty. The macedonian rule in ancient egypt began with the conquest of alexander the great and laid the groundwork for the emergence of hellenistic cultural influences in the new political structure. This situation was particularly bolstered by the construction of ptolemais, a city favored by alexander the great, who subsequently became the seat of the ptolemaic dynasty, the king of kings, and a beloved city of the hellenistic period. Queens who were active in the administrative functioning of this centralized dynasty played a decisive role in the political history of ancient egypt with their activities.

Although the political roles of queens in the ptolemaic dynasty began to manifest themselves from the early periods, the developments during the period of cleopatra have shown how much they have increased their areas of activity with their executive qualities. During this period, when the intrigues and political struggles within the dynasty intensified, the vii. Cleopatra's political stances, relationships with roman statesmen, and lavish lifestyle all play a significant role in showcasing the governance and life of the queens.

In this book, you will be able to read about the political and social roles of the queens who were active from the early dynastic periods of ancient egypt, as well as discuss the roles of the queens within the ptolemaic dynasty in inter-royal relationships, their royal lives, and their administrations.
